I'm a demon, Love. .:Chapter 1:.

It was a new day in the town Carl just moved into. People started to notice him and he was on his way to do basic human things. As a demon he probably didn't need to do this, but he was too lazy to deal with all the bullshit that would go on if people would know. What Carl didn't know was that today his life was about to change drastically.

He was going to the shop to buy really only useless things. He really liked the taste of candy on his tongue, but food wasn't really a necessity. An old ladies alway pointed out that he's going to ruin his teeth if he'll eat that much candy, but He was used to it. People always pointing out little things that they thought was for the good of others. His response was just a smile and "I'll be sure not to eat too much." He didn't think that today this old lady is not going to be a lady. Instead a young man, around his age, maybe older, was standing behind him. The man glanced at what Carl was buying and smirked saying:  "That much candy can damage your teeth."

Carl got startled by hearing the deep voice behind him, and glanced back to what was the stranger buying. The counter was piled with sake bottles.

"Well that amount of alcohol is going to damage your liver." Carl said still trying to count how many bottles were there.

"That is for a longer time. At least until I'm here." The stranger replied.

"I didn't even know they sold sake here. I didn't know they sell sake outside of japan."

"Well, they happened to," something smelled fishy about this guy, "My name is Kailuu."

At the moment Carl realized he doesn't really know what his location is. Still in his thoughts he dreamily answered: "I'm Carl, nice to meet you."

"This town isn't that big really." Kailuu said when they had exited the shop together

"You're new here?" Carl tried to sound as human as possible.

"Yes, I moved in yesterday."

"Then you still have some unpacking to do eh?"

"Not really, I don't have that much stuff."

Carl nodded and they continued their walk on the hot asphalt. Carl didn't completely trust this Kailuu guy. His purple hair and the amount of alcohol he had bought screamed go away, but then again, Carl wasn't perfect either. The green hair, and that one rotten out eye? Screamed a big "don't trust this guy" to everyone.

"Well, this is my turn," Kailuu said when they reached certain crossroads, "see you later"

After Carl nodded and waved he tried to move away as fast as he could. The location made his head a little dizzy. Hoping that Kailuu hadn't noticed it he continued his way home. He had to walk by the towns church and to brighten up himself a little bit, he inspected it, then chuckled a little bit, about the pathetic christians, and continued his walk.

The bright sun was still shining, beams of light shone through the cracks of leaves and hit the pavement brick cracks. Carls house was just around the corner. He stopped for a moment to enjoy the warm weather. He inhaled the soft air that was filled with a lot of different smells from flowers. The beginning of summer was his favorite time of the year. He continued his way home and enjoyed the sun while he could.

After entering the door he went straight to the kitchen and dropped the candy he had bought on the table. he removed his eyepatch and threw it in the trash. "these fucking eyepatches are shit." he said to himself while making his way to take a new one from his bathroom.

"I see you have started a new life?" A familiar voice said and startled Carl. He turned to see the ugly face of a demon he knew very well.
